    The straps go on the metal rings under the back shoulder pad. then you secure the bottom of the straps to the d rings that are attached at the bottom of the bag. If you use a metal frame you place the frame under the back of the shoulder pad. and tie the bottom of the bags to the frame. Make sure it is a medium frame utherwise it will be odd to carry it. I find that with the medium bags you really dont need the racks.

    I was able to assemble the top straps but
    I must be missing a clamp. I see where you fish it through the d rings @ the bottom but from their I cant figure it out?

    Thanks for the post................as I suspected I am missing some(metal)hardware on the bottom straps @ 13 seconds in you will see the hardware I'm talking about. I'm gonna check some places out and see if they sell the metal claps
