7000 watt generator FS

I have a lightly used American Tool Exchange 7000 watt generator FS
Electric start / pull, rolling cart./unleaded fuel.
Maybe 10 hours use by PO

Was traded to my mother, for her old chev truck.
She has moved to a retirement home and doesn't need nor want it.
Instead she will need any cash that can be had.

It runs 6000 watts continuous... 120/240v +DC outlets
Comes with the owners manual.

Yeah it's one of those chinese import generators...
of the likes you can buy at Harbor Freight/Northern Tool/ HD/ Lowes... etc.

But it should do somebody a service.
and at an affordable price...
If it is something they might have need for.
I have no want or need for this generator.

Bad: I got it with a dead battery.
I'm charging that currently to check it's condition.
Will clarify it's function whence that is tested.
Edit: Battery was found to be dead (requires replacement)

This is only available for local sale...

Believe this was a fuel gauge...
but it fubar'd and not functional.

 

$600 seems alwful cheap for this, you ought to be able to move it quick at that price... GLWS!

 

Im not familiar with generators, how much stuff could i run off if this during a power outage?.....free bump

 

Purdy much everything...

a common bulb will use only 75 watts and no surge.

An electric water heater (40gal) is one of the worst...
Sucking up 4000 watts... but no surge.

Another greedy power sucking device...
might be a portable air condition unit at the window...
= 1200w cont./1800w surge

'nother example... Refrigerator/freezer
= 800w cont./1200w surge.

The manual has a whole host of examples listed.

some devices like a air compressor = 1500w cont.
but will surge to as high as 3000w.

so devices that may have a high surge load need be given
special attention.

You could easily run all your lights and refrigerator/freezer, plus a couple additional small appliances like a microwave, coffee maker, etc. with no problems...
