Currently attempting to clean install mountain lion but its being lame and not downloading. So for the time being its just being upgraded. dude still has dibs for 420 but thats not what i was asking, So in my opinion if someone can pay asking price then he gets first buy.... Sorry dude cant pay the 450 then you dont get holding rights.

Thats TW pricing, This guy is coming from my craigslist posting which originally started at 500 dollars, Dropped to 450 and was offered 400 but got the guy to give me 420, Sorry but dude... This is a laptop worth well over 2,000 bucks given the software. And i just updated it for free for the dude so if someone is willing to pay 30 bucks over his offer then hey man i need cash, Im in the process of moving in with a friend and i need as much cash as possible.

I even straight up told the dude, Hey if i get offered anything over 450 then youll have to match or lose out and thats just how the cookie crumbles.

If that leaves me with a bad image then i guess im a lousy seller...?

No class. Is $30 bucks really worth your reputation as a seller which will affect future sales? I'd say no. And no its not worth over $2000. We have a thing called "depretiation" which happens when something is almost 5 years old and outdated tech specs. Its life.

A lot of people don't like you around here... I was trying to give it a chance, but now I see why. That was a jerk move.

BTW, I vote for thread since auction style listings are prohibited on TW.

Also theres no auction going on, Because the buyer didnt want to wait while i figured out whats going on with the mountain lion update, So for now im just trying to get mountain lion back on.

All I'm saying is that wasn't cool man. Gotta have better ethics than that. Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks that was wrong. Your word is the only thing you have in life that really means anything. And what you said you did damaged that word. Gotta think more before you day things this that's all.

 

i hear ya but i was doing him a favor by accepting 400 bucks, I started to get a rush of people for it and not one of them did i even reply to. But now i dont think this guy wants to wait while i get this issue figured out, So... Il give him an honest chance when i fix it. If he still wants it, Fine its his but ive more then enough people back out on my sales that i just dont trust them until i see cash in hand.

 

I think the moral of this story is this... In the future, until it's paid for, it's still for sale at the best price you can get for it... I choose not to advertise that I have "potential buyers" because too many people back out at the last minute... Just my thoughts.

You're kidding right? Class has everything, especially when purchasing over the internet rather than face to face, to do with selling an item. Your reputation and integrity are characteristics that take a LONG time to build and develop with others, yet lost in a split second by spouting your mouth off like a D-Bag in a thread for $30. Another thing, your laptop, even with all of that software, is worth nowhere near $2000 considering it's over 5years old with soon-to-be outdated ports. So stop trying to push that pitch.
At this point you may have better luck closing down this shit-show of a thread and solely selling it on CL because you've gotten under the skin of a few senior members here who actually give a crap about character and keeping to your word.
