Hey fellas, been a member for a while but mostly just a looker and not a poster. Long story short, I purchased an awesome set of bedside decals from Sockmonkey several years ago. I was always complimented on them, but unfortunately, my wife backed my truck into my sister's car about a month ago and now I need new decals. I know Sock is out of business and I have talked with him through PM's. My question is, does anyone do printed vinyl decals like he used to do? I have contacted numerous business in my area (over a dozen) but they all either do die cut only, or are limited to what colors they can print on vinyl. I am looking for clear vinyl with black, red, and white. I want to try to stay away from die cut just because I want it to look as close to OEM as possib and I don't want the hassle of the small, sharp edges of a die cut peeling. Throw some comments out and let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

    Yes they are diecut.
Myself, adub4real, ruggedT all do diecut stuff...
and we all have our own custom bedsides as well.
I believe adub4real did those ones

I can do them, only problem is that you have to lay down an opaque white behind the inks, otherwise the blue shows through and muddies up the colors... There may be an option to do them on white vinyl, then contour cut as long as there are no small areas... We can give it a shot??? Email me high res photo at scotrinaf at yahoo dot com.

Okay, here is an example, I don't have the ability to do an opaque white under the inks, so if your truck is not white or silver, my only option would be to flood coat the background with a blue that matches your truck as best I can, unfortunately that is not an exact science...

The blue outline is where the sticker would contour cut

Oh my bad, the decal you have is one from a previous poster. I just sent you an email with what I'm looking for. Oh by the way, my truck is silver.

Replied. :) A silver truck is no problem and can be printed on clear vinyl, see the pics of my truck for examples (link in sig). I made my decals...

those are a set I did and they have a 7 year outside life. I can contour cut a white or whatever color background and layer the die cut. I prefer die cut over printed in these cases because they look a hell of a lot cleaner than the full ink printed vinyl which has a edge like oem decals. I know steel city, myself, and rugged are always able to help out TW members on here. We stand by our designs and I can say from experience steel city and I have bounced ideas and techniques off of each other to assist in better quality designs.
