    1984 M923 5-ton Bobbed 4x4

I am thinking of downsizing my vehicle collection. This is one I wanted to hold onto, but I don't use it very often. I did all the work myself. I have driven the truck on the interstate for over 4 hrs with 0 problems, and I have gotten between 11 and 13 mpg.

    Clear MD title in hand.

11.5K miles and 800+ hours (though I do drive it occasionally) I picked this truck out of dozens for sale because it was a Quartermaster school truck (QMS on bumper) meaning it lived its entire life here in USA and was used primarily as a school bus, not the hard life some of these have but does explain the higher hours for so little miles.

    855 Cu.in. 14-Liter 6-cylinder Cummins Diesel (non-turbo)

    MT-654 5-Spd Allison automatic transmission

2-Spd Rockwell transfer case with part-time air shift 4x4 (so truck can be driven in 2Hi,4Hi,4Low)

Rockwell 5-Ton axles with full airbrakes and 6.44 gearing

5- 16.00R20 Michelin Radials with 95-98% tread life on FMTV double beadlock wheels (spare tire and wheel is included but not mounted)

Rear bob was done using another set of 5-ton front springs so rear suspension matches front.

Truck also has homemade 6" cat stacks with stack box, ABS brakes, Hardtop and Heater. I also purchased a 110V block heater that I will let go with truck.

Truck will also come with the spare rear axle that was taken out at time of bob job.

There are few minor things that need taken care of on it, the front drivers tire has slow leak from the O-ring between the 2 piece wheel so it will need to be remounted, the fuel gauge is one that works sometimes and others it doesn't so it may just need terminals cleaned and the mirrors were loose but the nuts were all rusted fast so the mirrors have been tack welded in position. Truck also needs pass side window replaced as it is cracked but is still intact and passenger side wiper motor needs a O-ring, about $75 in parts total but I am dropping price on truck to help with sale.

It currently has about 80 gallons of diesel in it so the sooner you buy it the better the deal is, also I have added the stock mudflaps since pics were taken.

$12000 Or Best (reasonable) Offer EDIT: PRICE DROP $11000 OBO

truck is located in the 21722/21750 area codes

Yeah the cab alone is 9 inches wider than a deuce so 3 people fit in it pretty easy, the truck in front of it is a chevy with around 6" lift and 37's so that should help with size reference.
