Good Deal on Jeep Wrangler???

just wanna know yalls opinion...im in Hereford AZ now visiting an aunt so its local...we went to dinner tonight n i seen it n IMO its in pretty good shape!!!

Ya Jeep wranglers, especially, hold there value very well. That is not the best deal, but make sure it is geared properly and see what axles it has, if they are dana 33 and 35 (33 front and 35 back, they come stock like that) then probibly pass because the dana 35s are very weak and you cannot put a locker in a dana 35. Now if they are dana 44s front and rear then I'd say go for it. Just remember it is a Jeep or I like to call them Heep, and you will be always working on it, because thats just the way those Heeps are. (My brother has one thats how I know).

 

78k miles is very low considering the year n it has the legendary 4.0L engine!!!

 

don't be fooled that engine is not as powerful as our 4.0Ls.

Ya. It makes the engine have a longer stroke to it and creates more power. (sorry for the bad explanation, but that's all I got for one). If you search on Jeep forums I'm sure you can find out more. I would do it for you (the searching) but it is my brother that is more of the Jeep guy, since he has a 1997 Wrangler. Making it a "stroker" is very very common for jeep 4.0Ls.

The 4.0 is a torque machine. They last forever too. I had a 2001 Jeep with the 4.0. I was getting only about 210 miles out of a tank of gas (19 gallons). I like my Toy better though. The price sounds about right though. If not keep looking. Happy shopping.

 

You are asking about MPG on a Jeep? LMFAO. Sorry but jeeps aren't for the gas conscious. My brother has the 4-cylinder on 33's (stock gearing, but that is changing this week) and the best he can ever get is13-15 on flat highway. When I drove it I got 9mpg 90% city.
