Here is an older picture of mine with the Yakima setup and it was a great rack!!! I still have it as a matter of fact. Only reason I went with the OEM one was for the stow away bars and I think it looks a littler sleeker too!!

I like the Yakima rack. Was thinkin about gettin a rain gutter mount. Is it fairly stable? Enough to hold kayaks or canoes?

Yes the Yakima roof rack is very stable and I'm sure if you tied down or strapped down your kayaks or canoes properly, it should be just fine.
