i just took it off yesterday and theres four screws once u pry it open(fyi put masking tape on the bottom of the plate before prying it so you dont scratch it) so theres 4 screws and a few clips and the plate comes out so i just painted it black and it looks great

If you gonna paint, i can just trade you my painted one for your silver one. Paint has been perfect for over 1 year. I treated it with adhesion promoter then some duplicolor flat black vinyl. I like it but im going another route with my center console, seeing as im blacking out everything else.

went to the meet in hampton, VA today... one of the guys painted his flat black and it looks sharp.
