If you go to a 12" travel the collapsed length will be even longer than your current shock. It will end up bottoming even sooner. The shock doesnt just travel more. It has to be longer overall to get another 2" of travel

Sounds like you need longer bumpstops.

I will take these if you have them in 1.5 weeks

What I will end up doing is running the 11" travel with the stem adapter. Oh and bump.

You went through this same problem with your front shocks. You cant just choose a shock and throw it in. The only way you are going to fix bottoming out before you hit the bump WITH a longer shock is to fabricate new shock mounts. I would suggest calling an expert like Downsouth Motorsports and ask them what shock will fit in your stock mounts with whatever leaf springs you have UNLESS you want to fab up new mounts

arent the top mounts on the 5150s interchangable?

ie cant you just order stem kit and swap it. At least thats what wheelers told me when I was ordering shocks

I have 12" travel 5125 and they will bottom out before the bump stops, and thats with 6" alcans

I want to swap to 10" travel shocks as well, but I think a 5150 with a stem would work fine too
