We have a huge 3/16 Diamond plate job going on at work right now and I nearly want to cry everytime they throw the scrap away. All of the plate is brand new and beautiful! They are cutting some big parts and since we dont normally cut alot of that material, they are just scrapping the large remnants.

Basically, I want to put it to good use!!!! Please give me ideas of some stuff we can make out of it. This job wont go on for too much longer so if we come up with some ideas I can talk them into setting some aside to make some pretty truck accessories out of!

    PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!!

Might make a pretty cool oval filler plate behind those grill emblems you sell. :)

Door sills or, if you already make side steps or a hitch step, add a diamond plate tread.

I think the skid plate would be a good idea like the ones you already have for sale but in diamond plate.

Some pretty good ideas so far. I'll have to post pics tonight. I just found out that we are cutting some more in 2 weeks so I'll try to get some stuff together to throw on there. I've already put down a sample for the skid plate. And I'll come up with a hitch step up.

I know nothing about bike and motorcycle racks so I'll have to educate myself on those a bit. Any links would be helpful :)

Also, any links for the tailgate reinforcement. I have an idea but the more info the better!

And yes, it's 3/16 A36 floorplate. I'm gonna try to use the hell out of the next round of material. I wanted to cry when I looked in the dumpster and saw it all in there.

Would it be possible to do something like this on the side of the truck in metal panels?

Yeah, maybe use some extreme molding tape to hold it up so I don't have to worry about rock chips if I take off my mudflaps. And maybe keep the price lower then rock sliders?

^ only way to get it to hold on there would be with rivits... and I sure am not drilling holes in the side of my truck.

I second the skid plate idea though!
