Trade OEM tube steps for OEM running boards

im looking to trade or buy. I currently have OEM tube steps and want to trade for OEM running boards. The reason is everything on my truck is black and i want the black running boards to match my truck.

I was thinking about that but idk if the paint will last on there. I have a feeling it will peel over time or scratch easily. I would rather just have the OEM black ones.

True. I'd say use a bedliner spray on them, usually that stuff is meant for some abuse.

ok, thanks for the advice. if i decide to paint them, do u know how the take the black plastic thing you step on off? Is it glued on or clipped on?

That I don't know... It may just be easier to tape it off using newspaper and blue painter's tape. That is what I used on the black plastic pieces on my bumper when I painted it.

They will be clips. And as long as you do proper prep work, the paint will hold up. It would be no different then painting a part on a vehicle. Yes it may be exposed to more abuse and rock chips, but the paint wont just flake off. If u have any ?'s just ask me, I am an autobody painter
