Is it $20 each or for two? Where'd you get them from? I'm lookin at some 5150s too from DSM, so I'd need them. But I'm not sure on length. I have the short 5100s now, so I wonder if the conversion is the same as me getting the extensions from toytec...guess its about new shocks and mini resis.. Haha

20 each and i got the 10" plus i got an extra inch from the conversion kit. I was looking at the 5160 but when looking at $ vs function i opted for these and cant complain. I got my full lift for 920 and im super happy with it. I get compliments every single day, it rides super good and spent less than the price of some coilovers! I know u cant compare but hell! Its so smooth and for the price i even got beefy spindles!

Nice! yeah I went this route too...better ride all around for somewhat budget hah. How did you verify the length for the shock? I'm debating waiting to measure to be sure I get full droop and that the bumpstop protects from the shock bottoming. I'd like to order it and intall all at once but I'd like to be sure its the best size...Have you verified travel? Do you have 3" lift in rear? Theres also the 11"...

Hay TACWUT, Can you send me a list of what you got i really like your set up. I like to get the spindle lift kit and the 5100 front and 5150 rear. The spindle lift comes with extended brake lines do i need to get for the rear? I like to go 4 or 5" lift on my Taco. I purchase this Taco with a 3" SUSPENSION spacer lift kit and the ride is terrible. I like to use the AAL but don't know the lift on it. Please help me put a list together so i can get the total amount and save up to order soon.

You have my list for the shocks and u know the maxtrac spindles go for 550-570. I went with the tuff country 2" add a leaf through suspension connection. That thing was like 59 shipped. My shocks were purchased through Downsouth Motorsports including the conversion kit. For the front i just went with the 5100, set it at. 85 and the brake line is good. If you're wanting to go higher like 3" or more in the back u can look at longer lines but u shouldnt need to if you want to achieve something like mine. Oh and get longer u bolts for the leaf pack if you have the rear tsb or 4 leaf pack.

    5100:170
    5150:198
    Conversion kits:40
    Spindles: 550-570
add a leaf: 50-100 depends on what u get.

Also, they said that they're out of spindles til april. Go to the 2nd gen pre runner maxtrac thread. Some dude is selling them for 569 n 7.50 for shipping. I asked if he would include guam but no response yet.

Go to that maxtrac page. There's a guys info on page 7 or 8 hes doing 569 n 7.50 for shipping. But they're almost sold out. Maxtrac Came on n said they're out til april n that guy bought the last of the spindles. Not bad of a price.

Would the spindles work with stock shocks in front and the 5150's in rear with AAL?

Thanks for the quick reply and information! What kind of total lift do you think I would get with that setup? Do you think the ride quality would be sufficient for street driving as a daily commuter? I NEVER go off road...

Thanks for the input bmoney. Do you think the ride quality is sufficient for a daily commute? Is it worse than stock?

A 4" spindle lift simply lowers two front wheels down 4". Doesn't change the suspension at all. The ride will be exactly the same as stock. Now, if you add 5100's and preload your springs to gain more lift, your ride will then stiffen.

I'm running the 4" Spindles, with 5100's at 2.5. The ride is a little stiff, but it just reminds me of riding in a truck.

You could buy all the tools you need to do it yourself, then do it yourself. Gain a bunch of tools and still pay less then any shop will charge you. It's not difficult at all.
