Do you like the OD Green color? My brother insisted that I make some of those. Poll is full so no one can vote on it, I'm just curious what people think (I know there's a few active military folks that might like it).

I see what you mean, and agree 100%. I think the few that commented on the teeth being "too hidden" or "scrambled" want them to be more visible and easier to read/see.

As previously said, my original intention was to keep the TRD hidden, and more a part of the whole picture, rather than an in your face advertisement. Just like the Toyota logo.

Trying to make it appeal to everyone, but it can prove to be a PITA, especially when you offer so many options.

 

My .02 : If you are going to print a sketchy image like this, print it lightly and give it a weathered look. Use black ink and print on dark shirts so that the image doesn't pop to hard. If you use a heavy print with a design like this and print with too much contrast it may end up a fail. ...

I think your sketch image printed lightly, with black ink , and on medium to dark color , light-weight cotton shirts would look quite cool. Just my opinion...

 

Thanks for the feedback Chris It will be interesting to see how the initial prints turn out.

I plan on using only black ink, with colored fills/outlines on the black shirts to make it look "good". It's hard to judge how it will look on the lighter colored shirts (red, drab green, white), but I agree if not done correctly, it may turn out too "contrasty" or pixelated. It was originally penciled, then inked in, so any edits or revisions will have to be done in "post" using PS or Gimp.

I have never attempted a venture like this, so I am relying on my graphic design guy to use his expertise and best judgment. I wanna do it right the first time, so if it ends up turning out shitty, I'm not gonna pursue it. Not to dissuade anyone's interest, just saying if the end-product isn't up to my standards, the deal's off (I am my own worst critic).

I'll make sure to let you know when these are available to purchase. I'm keeping track of who wants what for now (especially Ghost and Ipreferwater ) but will have some more organized purchase options when the time comes...maybe even a fancy website???

 

Might offer PayPal (gift-only) eventually. Once this really gains momentum, I will probably work with my nerd buddy to get a website going too.

I will update the teeth this weekend (again) to try to get the best of both worlds (cleaner more visible TRD, but still maintain the sketchy, hand-drawn appearance)
