I bought a PAC unit and can't get the bluetooth buttons to work. They light up fine but, I can't program them.

Did you have any luck programming them with the Metra unit?

Yea, I programmed the three buttons to do what they should, the bottom one did the voice commands. What head unit did you get and what firmware PAC do you have, I had read some early PAC's didn't like them, same with some head units. For the record I used a AVIC 920, which was the first generation of Pioneer to allow the voice command button to be programmed.

    I have the KenwoodDNX 5120 I think - it's something 5120. I used the PAC-SWI RC. I can't even program the "mode" button.

Thats odd, have you checked the Kenwood site, I originally had the pac for pioneer and had problems getting it work to right.

Called PAC - turns out they knew the issue immediately. I installed a capacitor, only item included in my eBay kit - rather than the 560ohm resistor that was required - simple fix now I have the other buttons programmed.

*Note - Not all buttons serve the pictured function - my audio command button is the "Play" button & the end call button is the "Mute" button. Oh well, this is good enough for me - Mode and Pickup call work.*
