87 Toyota Double Cab Hilux Pickup 1-KZ Diesel

Not mine. But so-much-want

This rig on the Marlin Crawler forum is my dream wheeler. Located in Spain, but for the right price you could import and still get a good deal on it. Looks like he has updated the suspension (needs new springs), it had duals and a new 1-KZ diesel which is awesome. I love the hilux p/u , even more in the four door variety with left hand drive. It is my understanding you can import a car that is >25 yr old - someone do it!

With new springs and some minor mods (take off the rear flares!), this could be the unique do-anything wheeler of the century.

That thing is amazing! It's too bad you would have a hell of a time trying to BAR that in California to make it street legal. Importing it into Canada should be simple though

I think it would be considered a historic vehicle or something when you imported it. Do those rules still apply on historic vehicles?

It's not old enough for California to be exempt.

It would still be tough to get that to pass an out of province inspection in Canada. They would likely fail it just because of the lift...

Why didnt they offer the pickup in a 4 door here? Freaking BS man. When I get a trail rig, this is exactly what I want (4 doors and a truck bed) - pref with a 22re though. Any other options?
