Different valving. They wouldn't work that well with a Tacoma. Leaf pack vs coil spring.

Valved for different weight too? Prob be pretty stiff but I'd re-valve them lighter!

They will not fit on a Tacoma as is, completely different rodends and hiem spacers. If you really want to make them fit you would have to order a different set of hiem spacers.

    WHEAT!!!

So I bought these and bolted them up to my 12' Taco and wanna share my findings in case anybody else runs across this in the future:
    * They do bolt right up but you'll need the Hiem spacers for a Icon Tacoma shock
    * The valving is not severe like people have mentioned
    * You will need to flatten the back portion of the lower shock mount so that the shock rod end fits into place and the bolt hole lines up

My valving comparison is based on the Walker Evans I had on the rear prior to installing these Icons. The Icons are no worse or no better than my Walkers in terms of stiffness but I can't blame that strictly on either shock in part because I'm running an ALL Pro standard 3" leaf pack already. It might just be that the leaf pack is extra stiff but because I installed this setup (leaf pack and Walkers) when my truck barely had around 400 miles I don't have a baseline to go off of. In any case if the stiffness bothers me I will send them to Icon for a re-valving and probably get the rod ends replaced while they're there.
