Beautiful puppies. I would love to have one, too bad the living arrangements aren't exactly ideal for a puppy :(

As a husky owner, I am super disappointed to see this.

Unless your friend has genetic testing and certification on five generations going back and is prepared to take back all of the puppies when the owners get tired of them - for life (which I doubt, because ethical breeders don't advertise puppies), there was no need to bring additional huskies into the world. Especially in So Cal where there are multiple gorgeous huskies in kill shelters as we speak. People are using their dogs as ATMs and those christmas puppies will be in the shelter once they stop being cute. Huskies are a handful, even for experience dog owners.

My wife works in husky rescue and the stories of beautiful dogs that have been abandoned because their owners are irresponsible and/or don't make provisions for their dogs when they move are heartbreaking. Please everyone, don't support illegal breeding (it's illegal to breed in the county of LA without a permit) of dogs with unknown medical issues. It just encourages people to breed irresponsibly.

    Please support husky rescue - www.huskycamp.com www.alleysrescuedangels.com

Even at a rescue, purebred huskies are $200. They are $100 at the shelter. My gorgeous red husky that was a stray is now a therapy dog. Most of these dogs don't have issues and are awesome.

I could post gorgeous huskies on here that have been euthanized because no foster homes were found but it's Christmas and I don't want to bring anybody down. Just know it happens weekly in the LA area. And please consider opening your home to a homeless husky in need.

    'Nuff said.

Cute puppies! IMO Huskies are some of the most adorable pups, same with cattle dogs.

If the owner decides to spay their dog I would totally chip in and/or help find a low-cost option.

Anyway, glad they all found a safe spot to go! You might encourage your friend to microchip the pups before they leave, then if they do wind up in a shelter down the road if someone can't handle them, your friend will get called so he or she can go save them. (One of my friends occasionally breeds her show/sporting dogs and she does this with all puppies, it seems like a great idea!)

That's because I have the hounds of hell at my beck and call.

Tacobot has great advice, make sure to microchip the pups to your friend's address.

As well, there are multiple low cost spay options in LA including Best Friends and most shelters - around $100. I believe low income folks pay $35. Hope your friend does the same with her husky so there are no more litters.

More huskies and pups on www.petharbor.com - including this 4 month old cute as hell GSD/Husky mix: http://petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=SBCT.A438685 :headbang:

When I got Zoie from a breeder, she was chipped and the breeder asked that I keep her phone number on the chip, so if they couldn't get a hold of me, they could call her.

I had checked the lab rescue's in my area and none had a choco lab pup, so I had to find a breeder.
