want to buy tacoma but not from dealer

i live in MD and want a tacoma. here r my requirements:

4 x 2
extended cab
auto trans

here is other important info:

would like to spend up to 10k or less or more depending on value .....
have owned tacoma 96
the truck will be light duty and probably driven 6k/yr
unsure if want 4 or 6 cylinder
willing to make raod trip for right vehicle

 

Ya dealerships are expensive. Warrenties are nice though.

Ya, 6k a year would have a awesome resale value. I was happy to find a 05 with 50k on it in 6 years. The only reason it had such low miles is it was owned by a police officer that had a car issued to him he drove home every day.

Average annual mileage is around 10-12 k a year. I personally drive about 20k at least.

Best of luch though OP, you'll have to do some digging but they exist.

With that budeget you are looking at a first gen prerunner with 100k miles. You can probably find a 2001-2004 in that range.

 

look on craigslist and autotrader.com

have cash in hand for a down payment and look every day multiple times a day.

Good deals go QUICK.
