Custom offroad trailer

If I didn't already have a trailer I would snag this in a second. I think it's a great price for a great little trailer. It's pretty basic right not but could easily be modded with all the bells and whistles if you wanted.

Specs:

FJ40 tub/FJ55 frame Trail Trailer w/Roof-Top-Tent. This is my beloved trail trailer, it has been drug all over Utah with pride. It does need some TLC as it has just sat for nearly 3 years now. I have a brand new tent material set and cover (I'm not 100% sure on cover) so with a few hours of work you could have a super clean RTT. The tent is an older Mombasa unit. The paint needs re-doing, the DIY liner could use another coat and the top (converted FJ40 hardtop) could use some glass work and re-paint. I figure for a few hundred bucks someone could have this back in tip-top towable shape. - $1000 OBO

 

Make a move quick cuz this thing is going to sell quickly at this price.

Where else will you find a complete ready to rock trailer with WITH A RTT for $1000? Honestly kinda bummed I already have a trailer cuz I've drooled over this one for years.

You can use your own RTT with it. Just sell the tent that comes with the trailer and recoup half your cost.

Wow this thing sounds awesome, just a few questions for if i could scrounge $1000 together! What does he mean to get in in towable shape? are the tires rotted or frame rusted? whats preventing it from being towable? That is if you can answer these questions! Im at work right now, working really hard so i cant give him a ring.

 

I think his "towable" comment is misleading. I'm pretty sure you could tow it right now with no problems at all. I think he's just talking about some general cleanup to get it in top shape. Like he said, it has been rarely used for the last 3 years. But I'm sure if someone bought it they could tow it home today no problem.

FYI this has a full rotation pintle coupler similar to an M416 military trailer.

The lower one. He's selling it with the early model Mombasa. Actually not a bad tent at all. That's what I used for the past few years until I got my new tent. It's a bit longer that most other tents. Closed it is 4x6' and open is a full 6x8' and with vertical walls it is suprisingly more "roomy" feeling than other tents of similar size.

These tents easily sell used for ~$500 so like I said, if you didn't like the tent, just sell it and you've got a bitchin ofroad trailer for around $500. That's almost unheard of.
