Lol. Ok I'm tired of the used market. Too many ppl low-balling. They wish to buy in the teens. I think Access Cabs and pre-runners more fit those price ranges. KBB not realistic with market.

I rather trade into dealer. I'll take whatever the dealer is offering. Thanks all.

Ouch. Dealer beat all private offers at $21k. Now they listed it on their website and autotrader for $27k. The private buyers that test drove it, liked it, but tried to low-ball me way too much. I was firm at $23k (even though private sale KBB puts it at $25.5k for it's low miles, great condition, and packages). I also explained that a dealer is going to list it at $25k+ and charge dealer fees. So they would save thousands buying directly from me and not the middle man

Hope someone with money can enjoy it as much as I have :)

Check out the VIN, carfax & listing. I took care of it. One owner. If you want it you'll have to pay more though. :(

Also I moved to Georgia. So check out the dealer listing on autotrader from Atlanta.

FWIW - I live in Stafford and was looking for a used Tacoma for several months. I found a 2010 MGM DCSB at Rosner with 51k, their internet price was over $25k. I think you should sell it for market and not look back. Since you bought your Tacoma, all vehicles have gone up markedly in price; use this sale to offset that increase.

ETA - Should have read the entire thread before posting. :)

2013 Accord. It's good. But I miss my Tacoma :(.

I will adjust though. I know it takes time. The dealer doesn't have the Tacoma listed anymore though...I think they sold it a week ago.

I know I got a lousy price for it ($21k) and the dealer profited greatly but I was tired of dealing with the low-balling market and 21k was the best offer I got. I guess people would rather pay a middle-man dealer $27k for it than pay me $23k outright!

I think they're two different crowds. There are a lot of people who are afraid to buy privately for fear of getting a bad car/wreck repair/water damage/you name it. They really would rather pay the dealer premium for peace of mind (not that I agree with that...).

I looked very hard for my Tacoma. Like you I was flabbergasted at the used prices. In many of the low mileage cases, an additional $2K would buy me a new truck! I finally found a plain-jane 2012 for a less insane price, even got Toyota used car cert. (It has the factory tow package, which was really my only must-have item.) But I still paid $10K more than I had planned on paying when I first started looking - before I saw what the market was like.

I think the biggest problem is 95% of the people don't want to part with so much money to a private individual. Dealers finance , makes people feel more secure. Stinkin thinkin in my book. But it's the way of the world. At least op got a honda. They tend to hold value better than american vehicles. I have an 04 with v-tec 6 cyl. The car is very fast and easy driver. Great commuter car at 28-30 mpg. Bet you will have another taco at some point. I still have a 96 reg cab!!

ill pay 17k for your truck any day. bought by 09 TRD Sport pre runner DC in 2013 September with 60k miles on it for 20+TTL from a dealer. But great that you got what you wanted. I sold 2 tacomas previously for something different and now back to my third Tacoma in the past 4 years. This one is not going anywhere.

You are a taco fan like me. For cars I love my 04 accord, still worth 8-9 grand with only around 125,000. Had a camry previous to honda and will keep the honda for many more years, and my tacoma will be with me for even longer. Only reason I would part with my reg cab is for a dc cab. Can't ride both dogs in my taco with buckets.lol
