At local Dealership

Saw this truck last night when I was driving by. Stopped and checked it out, it has a pro-comp 6" lift and also looked like it had a 2-3" body lift. Not a bad looking truck but the wheels were starting to pit pretty bad, and it didn't look like anything else was done. Anyone know this truck? http://www.evanstoyota.com/Preowned-...oryId=27376584

Definitely not worth what they're asking. Might be worth 20 on a good day.

IMO, that's the gayest lifted Taco I've ever seen b/c of those stupid wheels.

26,995 for an 05 with 55k? I know the lift and everything makes it look better but i thought mods bring the value of a truck/car down. Or have i been told incorrectly?

You've been told a half truth. Mod make a truck more valuable to people who want them...They just make more work for dealers because they either have to strip them out or wait for the right person to come along.

No fooking way in hell would I pay that much for an 05 with 55K...I paid less than that for my 08 brand new...and will be very close to or slight over it with all the mods I want

yea same for me. no more than 20k if even that. Nice truck but i agree with everyone about the lift and rims. Not a fan of the 6" lift.

I beleive the dealership tells you that the mods make the veh lower the value and try to sell it for more than the Blue Book Value as was said earlier due to the potential buyer wanting to pay more for the mods. There is a dealership in my area that sells new Taco's with several mods for about $36K but I don't believe that it is worth it (cheaper to upgrade to your liking)

Yeah...It's never worth it. They'll put in a 3 inch spacer lift and tack another 6 grand on the price. Sunroof can be installed for around 1500 in a Taco...They'll take you for 3K. Nearly NEVER worth it to have the dealer install options like that.
