So... can someone explain what this is or why I need this? I feel like I need it. I have a line to my ac for my bed lights. would this make it so that it connects to this fuse box?

This is basically a box that handles the hookup of electrical accessories. It does it in a way that is safe and also tidy looking. If you plan on running a few (or more than a few lol) accessories that would need to be fused or run through a relay then this is a worthy purchase. As Haslefre pointed out he appears to be pretty busy right now on catching up with current orders, don't think he is taking on new orders until the current ones are closer to being complete. I wouldn't mind getting in on the next batch :D

It really helps to read the thread. There are many options. Very flexible and can be customized. I was originally looking at a sPOD but I now know this is the way to go. I will probably hook up a light bar and hood hinge lights and then later get this and rewire those lights and add on.

FYI everyone. I am back building these today. The snow knocked out the power to my house/ neighborhood last week and we have been in a hotel all weekend. Powers back on and I'll be building some tonight for shipment in the am. Apologies to all. I see PM's and emails for new orders. Give me a little to get back to you. I tend to get distracted easily and when I start answering the messages, since I type slow, It takes more time than it should. I'll be back on in the AM.

Hey. What are your boxes rated for? I'm quickly outgrowing my bluesea. As I've only used half of the fuses and I'm already to the max amperage it's rated yor

Sorry to hear about that, but glad everything is ok.

I can't speak for everybody, but I for one have no problem waiting for quality work. I believe I'm one of those 15 that are waiting to be built. The fact that you are here explaining what happened shows good work ethic. Looking forward to showcasing your work.

Alright. And when do you recommend replacing the factory battery with a aftermarket one? Like how much can I pull before I need to upgrade?

    Sky,

I sent you an email a week or two ago regarding one of the boxes. When you get time and can reply back, I'd appreciate it. I understand you're busy, so no rush. Email is the same as my username.

    Thanks!

How is it that you're able to install the relays upside down? It looks like you're using a Bussmann RTMR 15303-2 along with 5-pin relays(301-1c-c-r1). To me, when I look at the datasheets of both the RTMR and the relays, there's only one orientation to install the relays because of the fifth pin(87A). Do you have any pics to detail and explain? Why am I confused?

    Hey Mike

I know you are super busy and have read about the acts of nature that have affected your turn time.

Sent you a PM a few days ago asking the same thing here, just wondering where my order stands in queue and possible ETA of shipping.

Including the Cobra XT CB/OTRATTW blank addendum to the order.

Thanks man. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Well its time i worked on my wiring. Thinking of getting the 5 relay version. Mostly just for the on with ignition benefits.

But i came up with how i think i would wire it all up. Includes where the switches would be and also what they are. Using the iggy 6 switch holder and then a 2 switch holder ill cut into the center console. All switches are otrattw for the most part.

The random lines that go know where are just for my own reference of where the "to acc" wire would be ran (approximately)

Each switch is labeled with what it is for. Most are pretty basic. But i do have some questions.

    1) For switch 1 and 2 i thought i could use the same relay to power both. It would be for two seat heaters (wet oakle ones). Best i could find each heater uses 4.5amps. Im betting most of the time it would just be there drivers side being used as i dont usually have a passenger. But 10 amps (saying 5amps just to be safe) is only half of what the 20amp relay can put out so seems like it would be ok?

    2) Circuit breaker....not so much a question but rather i want one just for a "master on/off". I sometimes leave the truck sitting for awhile and its just a comfort to know i can just have no power to anything but flipping the breaker.

    3) The rock lights. I hope that my idea for the wiring works. basically i would like a switch in the cab and also towards the rear of the truck. So my thought was to Split the wire off the fuse and have two leads...one going ot each switch. Then on the "to acc" side of the switch have them meet up at the first rock light and have them combine back to 1 wire and then that one wire connects to the rock lights. Good idea? bad idea? wont work?

    4) Switch7 and 8. THe winch stuff i dont think would hook up to the bussmann at all. Its a bit complicated and i need to look into it a lot more but dont think it really has to do with this thread or the bussman. But basic idea is the power switch powers the actual On-Off-On (in and out) switch so it cant be accidentally turned on. Id probably do winch power on the iggy and the control on the console

Anyways am i missing anything or does it all look good?
