The circle part needs to be widen a little bit. The mounting holes originally is made to fit their SR.

Edit: I'm not sure if you're buying it to fit a single or double row. But that is what I had to do to fit a double. Not sure about AVEC's single row.

Oh I see. So you just drilled it out a little bit to fit a larger bolt? That's no problem. I just want a clean install. And yes, I went with Avec 30" double row.

How do these avec bars compare to the quality of rigid? Are they made in america ? Are the sealed properly , do they hold up to the elements/bumps/shock? Is the light output brightness/quality the same as rigid ?

It's 1/6 the price of rigid so I'm assuming it's 1/6 the quality.

If there was more information online regarding avec I wouldn't have to assume. I'm simply seeking info regarding the quality of these lights. Do you have any info to give me regarding the questions I asked earlier?

Quality is on par with Rigid, having held both in my hands before, I can attest to the quality. Light output looks really good. Maybe you should read back through all the people that have bought from Mike and posted reviews. There are in fact about 49 pages of such.

looking on Google there are next to no reviews of avec. Rigid reviews are everywhere. all of the reviews on this forum have been positive. Nothing is perfect, I'm looking for the person who has put this light through the ringer much as the rigid reviewers have done. You said the quality is on par with rigid... is the unit sealed completely or will I have to take this apart and seal it myself ? These units will obviously look and function great right out of the box and freshly mounted. I want to know from experienced users how these function after 20k + miles of use in sand, dirt, rain , pot holes , bumps, scrapes, etc .

    Thanks

Totally, well we make a great product! Sure we'll have our imperfections but who doesn't? We do our best to push out new product and great product without sacrificing quality. Rigid has a much more wide channel so obviously you won't see the same turnout of reviews. But you are here on the forum and as volcom stated there's about 100 pages combined from people on here that have left reviews and pretty good ones. We've had had bars and I've done my best to address the situation and fix it.

What would the price be for a 30" and a 20" both optics? Do the optics come with everything you need to install? Mounting brackets, wiring, connections, switch, etc...? If so, what does the switch look like for inside the vehicle? Thanks in advance.

I live in constant cold tempatures, and had put my bar on right before winter rolled in. Every night it snows my bar gets covered in snow i wipe if off and it works perfectly everytime. The other day it rained then froze over the bar was coated in 1/4'' of ice and i turned it on and it melted away the ice and kept working. No problems!!

That's sort of a silly comment to make... just because something is expensive, doesn't mean it's the best. It simply means Rigid got into the game sooner than most, developed a good reputation and proceeded to jack up the costs of their lights. As more companies like Avec hit the market with reasonable pricing, you'll be able to watch Rigid's pricing come down.

I can give you my own review. I had a pair of Rigid Dually D2s and I replaced them with Avec pods. Both are 6 LED, 3" x 3" pods. As far as I can tell, from the driver's seat, they seem identical. I opened up the Avec lights so I could put Lamin-X film on the lens, put them back together and they've remained perfectly dry and in good condition. They are mounted relatively low on the front of my truck so they have and will be subjected to plenty of rock salt and sand spray through the winter. So far, so good. I also have a 30" light bar which I am very impressed with. That one's a little more protected but has remained dry with no hint of failure. Based on my personal experience with Avec products and dealing with Mike, I would recommend Avec to anyone. Customer service has been great and I'm happy with the products.

I took my two 30" bars out of their boxes to put the rigid covers on them, and then put them back in their boxes and then into my hall closet, they've held up perfectly since I got them! No complaints!
