Are they the same price? Also, sorry if this has been asked before, but with your headlight kit, you retain high / low beam right? Do you know of any issues with day time running lights (non-Tacoma) and running LED headlights? I'm waiting on pictures since I don't have a lot of room behind my headlight so if it has a heat sink on the back, I might not be able to fit them in.

He told me they are high/low. Otherwise I wouldn't have purchased them :D

Time to reverse the F-150 mod and do the Tacoma mod if they don't fit ;)

I just want someone to post some night time shots of LED drop in and show me the cut off. I ran HIDs for a while and disliked how the output was junk after about 50 feet or so and even pointed way down I was still sending light everywhere. If the LED drop in have the same type of light spread as halogens, just brighter, I'm in.

It'll be a while before I do the F150 delete mod and I can't go back to a Tacoma regardless (too small). If they don't fit, I'll figure out a way to get another 30" light bar up front to compensate :D With the other Avec lights I have mounted up front, the headlights are just for show anyways, they don't really do much.

Same price, High and low function. If you want to let me know what kinda room you're working with I can probably verify if they'll fit?

I'll see if I can take a picture this weekend. It's tight on one side, I have to take the housing out just to change a bulb. It's even tighter than it was on the Tacoma.

    Hey Mike,

I got an All Pro Apex bumper and I want to put a light bar in the middle of it just behind my led bar or in between the mounted led bar. The led bar is 30 inches wide from middle of mount to middle of mount. The spacing from top of bumper to bottom of led bar is 4.500 inches. Im wondering what would be ideal and looks awesome as well. I do want the combo led bar. What size would be best.....? 20"/30" Straight/Curve?

    Here we go!

Here is the LEDs from my post Friday:

The retaining ring on each headlight is removable and was VERY beneficial in this process but, I still struggled greatly with the headlights on the truck..so, they came out. This absolutely is the easiest way to get these installed. You see, the rubber headlight "boot" has to slide in between the retaining ring and the heat sink which was IMPOSSIBLE to do with the headlights in the truck. You need leverage.

    IMG_4383_6e043bf4629bd062f44d003a074eb24799dfdf8d.jpg
    (Borrowed from C1pher's thread)

Once the headlight was off the truck, simply put the retaining ring into the headlight as you normally would and re-seat the retaining clip:

    (Borrowed from C1pher's thread)

The rubber boot took a little trimming (I mean VERY minor) in order to seat the LEDs back into the retaining ring. Once that is done, simply slide the LED bulb with the rubber boot back into the retaining ring and head light assembly and turn it to lock into place.

    (Borrowed from C1pher's thread)

    Here is a comparison:

Driver's side AVEC LED bulb and Passenger OEM bulb:

Repeat the same for the passenger side and reassemble:

    Done!

    Low beams ONLY!

This is after they are installed, but you can see how little room there is on both sides behind the headlights:

    Passenger:

Here is a crummy cut off pic:

Could use a slight adjustment on the driver's side, but I have not gotten flashed yet.

Mike was right about there being a "tiny smudge of blue" but it's not HID bad.

Overall, the install took about an hour once I figured out how to finesse the headlights out of their homes. It's a easy, simple, plug-and-play LED bulb and the quality is EXTREMELY high. You guys who have bars know AVEC doesn't mess around when it comes to quality and the LED bulbs are no exception.

Let me know what other pics or questions you guys need/want and I will be happy to oblige.

Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
Installed my 30" optic from avec this weekend. Only took the grille off to install. From post I've read earlier people have said it is perfect height just using the mounting bracket but I had to use some aluminum plates to make spacers to raise it up to height about 7/8 of an inch worth. Did I receive the wrong mounting brackets or did others have to use spacers as well?
