The Auto Trader has been suddenly filled with scammers... It was all 100% legit for years but some how they snaked thier way in whith those adds? I sent a question of to a guy about a car for my better half and this is what I got: (starts from the bottom up)

    Hello again A Gibson,
The car is locked in the garage in London ON and only I have the keys. As I already
explained, I live in United Kingdom and I will go to Canada only for this affair.
Unfortunately i haven't a contact person in Canada.
I work in a hospital and is very hard for me to come in Canda. I can't take the risk
to leave my job for days and when I arrive in Canada to see that I come for nothing.
I want to be 100% sure that's not a joke and the money are ready for the car.
I will not ask for money in advance, but you must reserve the car and I will come
only if you are decided to buy it .And as a warranty that you really want to buy the
car and that you have the money (in cash) for the car, I require that you arrange a
    paid deposit on your name.
One of your relatives or friends must find a Western Union Agency and deposit 1/3 of
the amount ($5000) under your name to United Kingdom. Your relative or friend make
the transfer to you, in United Kngdom . You will NOT send the money on my name
because this is not a down payment.
You can send the money in this way because nobody from worldwide can take this money.
    Example:
-Sender of the money: YOUR COUSIN(who send the money)
-Receiver of the money: YOU A Gibson (who receive the money in United Kingdom).
The money are available at Western Union until we will meet and finish the deal.
Immediately when you have sent the money to United Kingdom, I want you to send me an
email or fax with the copy of the Western Union receipt, this is the serious reason
that I can trust you that you have the money ready to pay for the car, then i buy
the plane ticket to go in Canada, i take the car and i'll drive it to your address.
When we will meet, first thing I will do is to give you back the money which you
have paid for the commission to Western Union. The disadvantage is that you will pay
and extra fees using Western Union for making commerce. In order to avoid this you
must tell to Western Union agents ( if they ask ) that the money are for personal
    use.
We will test the car with a mechanic to confirm that the car is in perfect
condition, ready to drive it, we will go to a Police Office to confirm that the car
    was not stolen.
If you like the car, if you want to keep it, we will make all the papers work that
we need(the passage of property). Then we go together to a Western Union Office and
your relative will change the receiver's name of the money with my name-Michael
Benks. Or, your relative retire your money and pay me in cash. Of course you must
have with you the rest of the money $10000.
    This is a fair deal.

    Kind Regards,
    Michael

    P.S.
If you accept my conditions I wait your e-mail. I don't want you to feel offended if
i'll not answer you in case of a negative answer, because I don't see the reason why
we should continue to write eachother, since I will not accept any other way to
    close the deal.

Racer, the avatar is to show love & support for our fellow member "Bill." His wife Michelle is fighting cancer and we are praying for them both to be strong against this insidious disease. Michelle has been in the hospital recently. Someone in the forum came up with the great idea for us to have their pic as our avatar to show them they are not far from our thoughts.
As for your deal posted above: That whole thing sounds scary.
Here's a suggestion: Maybe you can set up a meeting with the so called seller and when you meet to check this car out, pull the "Chris4X4 B-Day cake mod." on him. Do a search for "B-Day cake How-To" in this forum and follow Chris's instructions carefully. Use these techniques on this scammer. lol. Scam artists suck!:)

Thanks for the info on the pic. I wish all the best to Bill and his wife. Thats a great idea to show care and support from all over the US and Canada.

I will have to do a search on the B Day Cake post. Should be a good read!!
