These screw onto the top stem of the Billys and relieve some of the over-extension that occurs when you stretch the stock shocks to a length they weren't design for. Gets you back the stock ride without forcing you to buy new rear shocks. Work 100% perfectly fine for street driving and light offroading. Does that make sense?

Yeah I think so, I guess i didnt realize the AAL adds stress to the stock shock.

I don't know if "stress" is the right term... but my understanding is that the stock Bilstein shocks aren't designed for lifts. As you raise the rear of the truck the useful extension of the shock is reduced... and you can get a thump over bumps as the axle drops but the shocks have no travel left to dampen it. These Toytec extenders thread onto the top of the stock shocks effectively lengthening them and restoring the factory ride.

I used to have these and they work quite well if you running shocks to short for your current rear lift.

Don't forget to use the thread locker or bad thing will happen.

Thanks for the explanation, as i understand their function now, and makes sense.
i have no lift, but the TSB AAL, and my truck does hit pretty hard on bumps. I assumed the thump was from the ride being stiffer from the AAL, and didnt know their was a product to help soften the ride after the TSB AAL.

thanks again
