My truck came without the fogs but I have been told it should be wired for them. Any truth to that?

Mine doesn't have the wiring. Maybe because my truck sucks though.lol

Dig in and find out. some are and some arent. take a look and see if you can find the plugs

My V6 does

Even if you have the wiring harness in the bumper you need another loom that goes to the in cabin switch I think.
