Well, im sure there'll be someone else along the way that would want 3 again. Only thing is i'd like the HID kit to be one of the common ones, ex: 55W slim 5000K or 6000K temp. something like that to make it easier to sell than some random one.

never heard of shimming the bulb. The conversions friends and I have done have seemed pretty good just doing a direct swap, but that makes me curious to try that now...

 

Makes total sense to me, I actually was thinking about the position of the HID arc vs the standard coil and was wondering if it was different the first time I saw the HIDs. The HID converted hellas do see to have a little bit more of a flood pattern than with the standard halogens, next time I have a set to mess with I'll try playing around with the position a bit.

 

On my lights they are 100% spot beam. Even after the HID swap, they are a condensed bright ass "spot". I have the "500's" and not the "FF" I wonder if that makes a difference?

The lights look great. I've just gotta work on aiming them...I had them hitting the ground 15-20 feet in front of the truck. Didn't get to adjust them last night, the wife demanded I spend some time with her since I've been working on my truck all day every day. Will get them adjusted and post pics ASAP!
