    SOLD!

I've got a virtually brand new OEM 7-pin Connector and Harness with mounting bracket, two waterproof connectors and right & left license plate lamps. It's part # 82169-04010 (for factory towing package). Dealer sells these for $ 216.75.

    Make me an offer...[IMG]

The link you provided is for a 4-pin connector which is fine for most "light" towing (Jetski, Boat, etc.). The factory towing package provides a 7-pin connector which additionally provides 12vdc @ 30A, Electric Brakes Signal & Backup Signal. The 7-pin is usually for heavier towing such as Trailers, etc. that need/use electric brakes (required if >3000 lbs).

Also, w/o the towing package, your truck would have less than 6500 lbs towing capability - 5000lbs w/V6 and even less w/I4.

So, the answer to your original question is: It depends on your truck and what you intend to tow. Hope that helps...:)

This is my first question to this forum, so please bear with me. I bought a 2011 Tacoma with factory tow package. Does the battery charge line (12V 30 amp connection on the 7-pin) have an isolation switch incorporated so tha it is isolated when the ignition switch is off? I have not picked up my vehicle yet.
