If you could do that for $10, I would give you $1000.

The paint quality is nowhere near automotive grade. Clear does not cost $5. It is at least $20. If you have to sand, polish and wax, it is not even close to the quality and finish of a paint spray gun. Why would you need to refinish clear? Time is money and what you described would take well over 3 hours.

My time is free, I enjoy my own work...

you can pick up Auto grade clear for cheap, in small quantities (rattle can)...

Blah Blah Blah mine look as good, if not better than those

I think $120 is high is all, could have it done at a body shop for less than $100 and be out your lights for only an afternoon, or less if you don't have the time to do it on your own.

Posted in wrong sub-section anyway...

And what/how are those painted viet, since you know all...
$120 is a bit high, I can agree. But, MINE have no orange peel. It was automotive black mixed with automotive clear. All done at a body shop. I don't know about you, but I have been through 4 sets of tail lights. I even painted mine the same way you say you do yours. I have painted tons of body parts, with rattle cans and paint guns, and have never had orange peel. Try not to spray so much.

And his are painted just like mine, with automotive clear and black.

Please show me my orange peel.

Its not rocket science to tint lights. I did mine on my car for realistically about $20 over 2 years ago... still look as good as the day I did them. No orange peel, no chipping.

But there is someone out there that will pay $120 just because they don't want to mess with doing it themselves and risk screwing up. Either way, good luck with your sale.
