    son thats not for the scoop thats for behind the grill;)


    also chris 4x4 i kno your god but it is my thread......and id prefer it not to totally be jacked idont care if i gain a single horse but the sound it way better and the functional scoop makes me feel useful..... i like fabricating and i will continue to regardless of if you bash my ideas. you havent seen my bumper yet or my brushed stainless steel interior trim which both look damn good in my op so......be constructive or go make your own thread !:D

    I looked at that other thread chris4x4 linked. Maybe if you could fab some kind of channel from the front of the truck. From the fog light holes or something. :shrug: Just a random idea.

    Maybe if you created an inlet in the scoop that worked in addition to the stock location the stock location could create enough suction to actually cause more air to come in in the hood scoop, thus actually becoming beneficial????

    Totally off the top of my head.... maybe been thought out and shot down already...

    The location in which the stock intake pulls air from, is in a high pressure location. Putting the intake opening on the hood, would require more work from the eninge to pull the air into it.

    I am not suggesting to relocate the intake location completely. you've made it pretty clear that doesn't work.

    I am saying maybe if you added a second they could work in conjunction with each other???

    I think a dyno test would be the real way to determine the effectiveness of opening up the hood scoop..... Just my $0.02. I like the idea so I give props to the OP for taking a chance!
