The C500.1 is a sub amp and the C400.4 is more of a speaker amp.

    C500.1 footprint is 2-1/2" H x 11" W x 9-3/4" D and the C400.4 is 2-1/2" H x 16" W x 9-3/4" D.

Thanks, I'm running Alpine Type-R Components in the front with Type-R Coaxial for rears and an Alpine 10" Type-S sub.
