What are some good websites that I would be able to find aftermarket parts? I want to get ride of all the chrome and black it out.

Do any of you have pics of 4runners around this year model that you have upgraded?

Looks pretty good but, be prepared because it could end up being a money pit.

    Cheers.

If I buy this 4Runner what kind of paint should I use to paint the chrome?

Should I go with flat black or satin black?

Ask the seller if the headgaskets have been replaced. The 3.0 Toyota V6 was/is very well known for headgasket problems.

There was a factory service campaign on them. Toyota was fixing them for free if they blew. But that engine is out of production 15 years now, I doubt you could get it done for free now.

I would try to get a little more money together and look for a 96-02 with 3.4 engine. More power, much better reliability.

Stay away from the 3.slow and an automatic tranny, it's a dog.

    If you go with a 3.0, get a 5-speed, it's a bit better.

Toyota did mine when my '90 4Runner was 10 or 12 years old and had 140,000 miles on it. I wasn't having any issues, I just called, they said it was never done and said they would replace them.

I ended up getting a new completely new motor for free...

That body appears to be in the condition that my 2006 tacoma is in. haha but for real. If you know how to fix things i would buy it. if you dont have the time to be your own mechanic or dont have the know how i wouldn't. Look at the list of things that have been replaced in the last 5000 miles. stuff if not just going to stop breaking just because you buy it.that being said i would buy it.
