I know I'm going to regret this, but it's time for my beloved old pre-Taco to find a new home. I've been driving it since around 1997. Best thing I've ever had with 4 wheels. Thought I'd be driving it for another 15 years, but trashed knees have forced me into an automatic 02 TRD. So thinking I'd drive it till my kids pulled my license, I've done the following:
Timing chain. I figured it might be a good time for a valve job too. My mechanic insisted it didn't need one, but I talked him into it. Oil pump was still within spec.
Clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and rear main seal done within the last 100 miles.
Speedo says 179+k, but it actually as a bit more. Speedo quit working and was repaired. Probably has around 182k. When fixing it, the mechanic dropped the bezel that shrouds the gauges and it broke into pieces. Glued and screwed it back together. Not too pretty, but it's there.
Brakes have about 5k on them. 4x4 works fine, but you gotta get out and lock the hubs yourself.
Cat back muffler and tailpipe 2 years old, as well as shocks.
The bad: Two areas of rust on the tailgate top edge. About the size of a 50 cent piece. Needs tires. Tread left, but weather checked. Missing trim piece top of windshield. Right front fender and lights are replacements. Parking lot hit and run. Black primer. Needs a paint job. [Black] A clunk in the front end when making real sharp turns. Been doing that for years though. One tear in the seat, drivers side bottom edge, 1 inch long.
I've put about $4500 into the old boy in the last 5k miles. With a new set of tires, I'd drive anywhere. Like to get around 6k$ for it.
Now the really bad.....I have no idea how to post pictures. Just went from PC to a MAC, and it might as well be like learning Latin. I know about as much about computers as I do about women, and I've been married for 35years...I figured out how to email them, but posting is another story.oldjack18@gmail.com
    I'm in Marietta, Ga.

If it was in good condition, that maybe could be a fair price for a 4X4 pick up. But it sounds like it is a little beat up.
By the way, I bought my 1994 Toyota pick up with only 122,000 miles for $3,000. Its only 2 Wheel drive daily driver but in excellent condition. So $3,000 more for a 4X4 does seem a little pricey

I wish the old yotas sold for that much. They are worth it but realistically you can pick up a fully long traveled and caged for 9-10k so 6k for stock is a bit up there if I were u I'd be happy with 3500 to 4k
