    Pictures of tread up close? Looks at least 50% gone from the pictures up now...also looks like those were spraypainted rims...not saying thats a bad thing, that's what I did to mine...just saying be honest.

    Those are the rims that come on the rugged trail tacomas, they come black not spray painted

    Disagree, have definitely seen these in grey/gunmetal as well before, so they don't just come in black. The reason I say that is if you look at the lug nut holes, it definitely looks like either dirt or spots that were missed when spray painting, I know because mine looked the same...and the rest of the wheel looks pretty clean...[​IMG][​IMG]

    Wow I didn't know they came in anything but black, good observation I didn't even notice the lug holes. Now that you mention it it might be spray painted, hope the op chimes in.

    Eh...there are several threads showing the actual way to do it...I honestly just hosed them off, wiped them down nicely, let em dry and just took a rattle can to them...with plans to PC when its time for new tires :D
