Thanks for throwing me under the bus!

The URD short throw shifter is really nice actually, the installation is super easy. In sure you've read, just like I did, that there is an issue with the holes and dowels lining up. there Is NOT.

Shifting at first is VERY firm but it breaks in nicely and the easiest way to get it into reverse is to "slam," for a lack of better words, into the far left reverse position, it gets easier though!

It's definitely not a necessity for me but it awesome. If I was to do it all over again, I'd still buy it and be stoked as ever with it!

Let me know if you need help or have questions buddy. Glad to help.

Yeah I don't have a SC and I would say it's worth it!

Not sure what a SC has to do with the throw of your shifter. So idk about that fact.

Very helpful... I've been hearing some good stuff about it and think this might be a birthday present I ask for.
Bengland- how was the instal? As a poor college kids with limited tools and no garage, do you think I could still install this sucker?

Installation is super simple! All you need is a socket set, rtv gasket, grease, screwdriver, and Allen wrenches. I would recommend some type of cleaner and and razor blade to clean the old RTV off the spacer..

There is a write up somewhere around here. If you need it let me know and I'll post it for you.

I've had mine for a few years. It was one of the easiest mods to do that made a very noticeable difference that you can feel as you drive the truck. IMO the trucks should've come with this short of a throw stock. It's worth the 110 bucks. If that's too much, then try and get a group buy going to get them at a discount.

URD short shifter is deffinatley worth it. I love mine. No issues. I also paired mine with a shorter shift lever I purchased from a member named Coupe. Probably my favorite mod I've done to my truck!
Here is a link for the shift lever: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/performance-tuning/218443-shorter-shift-lever-coupe.html BTW: thanks again Coupe

I am also a pretty big fan of great customer service (who isn't) but give credit where credit is due, Gadget (URD) and Coupe are excellent to do business with.

This was my first mod and I have no regrets. This is the way the shifter should have come straight from the factory.
