Tradesman model TALF561LP/BK .060" aluminum diamond plate cross-bed toolbox, low-profile, powdercoated black. The dimensions are shown in the screenshot from the Tradesman catalog below, and I'd guess the weight is somewhere around 30-40 pounds. This box is a great fit in the bed of the Tacoma (probably other small trucks as well). It has gas struts on the sides of the box that aid with opening the lid. There are latches on both sides, and the box is lockable (I have one key). There is a foam gasket that runs all the way around the lid to help keep water and dust out. The box is not 'waterproof' or 'dustproof' per se (I don't think any of these style boxes are), but it will keep your gear dry in a rainstorm. There is also a removable plastic tray that can slide from side to side to help with organizing smaller items. I cut a piece of thin foam grip mat (the kind you find in upright toolchests) to fit in the bottom of the box to keep things from sliding around. There's also a single sticky-backed LED lamp that's stuck on the inside of the lid. I had one on the other side but it fell off a while back. I'll be happy to include an extra set with the sale since I still have 2 or 3 of them new in the box. There is also a cone mount for a CB radio mounted to the lid. It has the standard 3/8"-24 antenna threads, and only needs to have a piece of coax connected to it on the inside using a PL-259 coax connector. The mount was siliconed in place when I installed it, so the box doesn't leak water through the antenna mount.

I drilled holes in the walls of the box that line up with the OEM tracks in the back of the bed of the 05+ Tacoma - three holes across the back, and two holes on each side. I used 3/8" Grade 8 bolts to mount it to the OEM tracks, so it can be mounted without drilling any holes in the bed of the truck. This thing is SOLID when it's mounted in the truck; I could grab the box and rock the entire truck without it budging. I mounted some thin adhesive-backed foam strips to the undersides of the 'wings' so that the metal part of the box wouldn't be sitting directly on the truck's plastic bed rail caps. I also drilled a small hole in the drivers side of the box to route the coax through for the CB antenna.

I purchased this toolbox in the summer of 2008 and had it on my truck for about 2 years before I removed it. Overall it's in good condition. The powdercoat is somewhat faded from 2 years in the Texas sun, and there's several places along the face of the box/lid where the powdercoat is chipped from hauling stuff in the bed; I've tried to show this in the pictures. There are no dents anywhere, and structurally the box is in perfect condition. The latches, gas struts, and lock all work perfectly.

Price: $150. At this point I'm not interested in shipping, not to mention the freight would probably be as much as the box. I'm happy to meet someone within Houston or a reasonable distance. I'm also up in the Dallas area fairly often and could arrange to bring it up with me and meet somewhere. I will actually be in Dallas this coming weekend if anyone in that area wants it.
