Craigslist hood scoop $200

SOLD

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/1064873133.html

Just wanted to pass this on to others interested in a hood scoop, I called the guy and he says he still has it, but I dont really want a hood scoop, would rather have a mesh grille. So a little FYI.

DanGer 03-07-2009 08:47 PM

not sure if he ships but I would take it.

SocalMan22 03-07-2009 08:48 PM

Damn thats a good price wish it was black

BreezyTaco 03-07-2009 08:50 PM

what would be the benefits of having a hood scoop besides the look, and really I like the look of my trucks hood.

SocalMan22 03-07-2009 08:51 PM

there is no benefit unless you modify it.

DanGer 03-07-2009 08:52 PM

even if you modify it there is no benefit. There is no possible way to make a hood scoop work on our trucks without basically redesigning the engine

SocalMan22 03-07-2009 08:53 PM

The guy selling the hood is selling a bumper and a grill surround color matched

BreezyTaco 03-07-2009 08:53 PM

yeah, I just want to get a different grill put on the front besides the ugly black one Toyota thought would look good, or some same color door handles, another Toyota design that makes you scratch your head about.

BreezyTaco 03-07-2009 08:55 PM

He had a couple other things on craigslist, I called him about 30 minutes ago and he said he still had the hood, he is going to be in palmsprings tomorrow morning, I told him I would think about it, but I'm done thinking.

SocalMan22 03-07-2009 10:05 PM

Thanks man, I know I had given up on finding one. I'll post some pics after the install.

SocalMan22 03-07-2009 10:21 PM

Cool you should come down to san diego for the meet!

JJ Customs 03-07-2009 10:23 PM

I am trying to get down, with the hours I work its just a pain. Whenever you guys set a date for the mod day I will try to be there to help out with whatever you guys want to install. Derek wants to take my stock grille and mod it to his truck so I am about to start working on that for him.

BreezyTaco 03-07-2009 10:26 PM

Thank you Devil Dog, you have stopped all of my thoughts about this hood scoop.

BreezyTaco 03-07-2009 10:27 PM

Aaron surely owes me some commission for posting this on here.

Yeah man thanks for the heads up! If I find one I will let you know if you still want to get one in the future. I know how it is trying to prioritize your mods. I am done with everything and had given up on the hood so the wife told me to buy it.

JJ Customs 03-07-2009 10:30 PM

DAM! Now I can't sleep and I have to leave to go pick this thing up at 0530....

BreezyTaco 03-07-2009 10:53 PM

Congrats on the buy, I'm installing a hitch tomorrow myself...what do you do in the Marine Corps?

JJ Customs 03-07-2009 10:59 PM

I am an 0311 (Infantry) after three deployments covering both Afghanistan and Iraq I moved down here to work with the adviser training group. We train all the transition teams headed down range for the Marine Corps to work with the Iraqi Army / Police and Afghan Army / Police. We mostly teach and train adviser skills however we also cover the basics of tactics and foreign weapons.
