    Hi Guys,

I'm currently dealing with a local dealership here in TEXAS and need your advice if it's a good deal or not. Best price i got is $21,500 driveout for 2006 TRD Sport, Speedway Blue, DC, prerunner, tow package, Auto, 40K miles.

Think this is a good deal and pull the trigger ?

Did you do any research on www.kbb.com ?

That'll give you a ballpark range of what prices you should be paying.

IMO Edmunds is much better then KBB when it comes to buying used from a dealer. If you look at the price details given by KBB it states that the price is a "starting point" for negotiations. Edmunds on the other hand gives you the actual price other people are paying for the car/truck type you selected.

Also, price can vary greatly depending on your location. The same truck in rural Virginia may sell for a much different price then say Denver.

Well, guess i don't have to worry about it anymore. Salesman told me that car is sold. I even had a $500 deposit on it. WTH?

He say another salesman sold car and overlooked paperwork. Oh well. I'll continue searching.

That seems like a really high price. I paid $23900 out the door for a brand new 2009 DC TRD Sport 2WD.

Maybe Tacomas are the least depreciating vehicles ever.

The price sounded a bit high - be glad someone else paid top dollar for it. You'll find a nice truck soon enough.
