Now the question is will it work in the 05-12 models. I was thinking about buying this before I cut the wire to disable the drl.

The Million Dollar Question.

I want to know the same thing for 2012 - Can I wire this up on my 2012 as it is done on the 2013...

That's a good question, one that I don't have an answer for because I have no direct experience with doing this. Can anybody on the forum chime in on this??

It might be plug and play but you'll have to add the wires to control the drls.

Well I did. It appears the circuitry is there but simply replacing the stalk does not work. I did not replace the black DRL relay though/yet as I have yet to check if the DRL relay is different for 2013 over 2012. I just put in the non-drl flasher and junction block, leaving the DRL relay in place/not connected. It's actually fairly easy to change out the stalk after the first time. The thing I had most difficulty first time is the horn connection. You need a sewing needle or something to get the connection off. I can always just plug the DRL back in at some point but it requires removing/access to back of fuse panel under dash. May try the 2013 relay at some point if it is a different part number than 2012, otherwise the function lies within the ECU. I'm in no rush to check that out.

At the time of my checking I could not find info on the 2013 DRL relay part number. If anyone wants to check if its different. Post up.
