Still waiting on mine, been ordered since November.

As for TSBs I think they are good for the life of the vehicle NOT just during the warranty
    period.

Most tsb's are for the 3 and 60 warranty. although some are for longer. It is always specified in the tsb.

Recalls should be repaired free for the life of the vehicle. TSBs (Technical Service Bulletin) are more fixes for common problems that aren't subject to recall. I don't believe there's any obligation for the manufacturer to perform a TSB. Like a memo if you will to tell the technicians about a newly developed method or revised part to fix a common problem.

At any rate, on my '07 I had the dreaded tick/chirp that was driving me nucking futz. As per the thread on here I pulled the fan (3 screws, 1 plug in), pulled the blade assembly off, removed the motor case and oiled front and rear bearings with white lithium grease. It got super quiet and hasn't been a problem since (~10,000kms ago as of now). In my opinion; for how annoying it was and for only taking 20 minutes to fix I wouldn't put up with too much hassle trying to get the dealer to do it.

I have the same problem but had no idea there was a TSB about it, I thought some garbage had gotten inside.

    Glad I found this topic.

I got it installed yesterday, doesn't sqeek like the old one...but it ticks on low. I can live with it. Is 4042 the latest and greatest part # for this TSB?

Got my truck in December, and it was ticking shortly after. The dealer replaced (or at least said it was replaced) after waiting almost two months because it was on back order. The new one hasn't ticked yet, but we'll see if it happens when it gets colder, as I think that it was when it was the worst.
