I'm a bit of a history nerd and was curious if anyone knew the history/origins of this forum. Such as, who started it? Why it was started and what were their intentions of it? Does the creator(s) still drive a tacoma? You know, stuff like that.

It was started by Al Gore when he invented the internet. It was originally called Toyotapickupworld.com. Then when the tacoma came out, the name was changed.

TW was started by the legends from Honda-Tech GDD, YBFB Crew. Kills was banned so they decided to start a toyota forum in their angst.

was started because I couldn't find a general tacoma forum. most of the ones at the time were geared towards mainly offroading or some other specific niche.

yes I still drive my 07 black tacoma. 93k miles and counting

    You guys are all wrong.

Back in 2001, when HAL 9000 returned from space, His intelect drove him to buy the most reliable, and highest resale value, pickup out at the time. Afterall, he is the most inteligent being ever. Shortly after, he gave himself a name "tcBob". "Tc" for "Total Control" which is what he is after, and "Bob" because he wants to fit in, and its a popular name. He upgraded to an second gen Tacoma, and began to realize that he wanted to help inform the "regular" people about this truck. He started Tacoma World, and his ultimate goal has since changed from World Domination, to Getting the entire world to drive Tacomas. He took up residence on a remote Island, inhabited only by beutiful Women, who cant talk, and only know how to please and make sammiches.......
