Prices are only going to keep going up, so it's pointless for me to complain... but I'll keep b*tching about it anyways just to express my distaste.

How convoluted would that be ? If you were selling it to them they would already own it .

 

I don't quite see it that way , we get rich selling bitumen to China at more than the US is willing to pay

 

OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE I HAFTA PAY $3.52 DOWN HERE IN WEST TEXAS! PLEASE PEOPLE, HAVE PITY ON ME (especially Oz!!!)

 

$6.65 at the one place in CA. I heard it on the news. Ouch

 

Yeah, but you have to live in West Texas. So, yes, pity warranted.

whoa... that is really high. maybe it balances out with your health care being pre-paid. so with your tax rate, health care and gas prices, do you think you are better off financially living in Canada vs the US? In general. not asking for anything personal. Living in Texas is probably as inexpensive as you can get in the US i would think. there may be cheaper, but you can have a pretty decent living dallas/fort worth.

 

$4.65/US gallon here, there's a refinery and an upgrader in town.

Saw an article about venzuela gas prices awhile back. They pay the equivelent to $.50/gal american.

 

Our health care is pre-paid by our taxes which are ridiculous. I lose a little less than half my pay cheque to taxes and deductions. On a $2675 cheque I take home just over $1700. Lovely.

 

Two weeks ago it was 2.33 now its 3.11. Even after the hike it is a decent price. Good ol' Wyoming.
