Does it matter if part of his cost is a road tax ? It doesn't matter to how much / litre comes out of his wallet

Paid $3.47 US for 87 earlier. Was .20 more expensive than anywhere when we drove to missouri. Not complaining though $5+/gallon sucks!

Sad part is that we depend on fuel so much they could probably charge $20.00 a gallon and we would have to pay for it. I am not walking 60 miles round trip to work.

At that point there would be riots and a lot of people not getting to work because very few could afford that and being able to pay for basic survival needs

They should probably tax vehicles by miles driven. That way you include the electric vehicles in the tax.

Our gas taxes are pretty low worldwide. Northern European countries are close to $10/gallon

Don't live in Canada? :notsure: Pretty much everything is more expensive in Canada, no?

Didn't a lot of countries do that, to basically keep people from driving so much? I remember watching this show about a place that pretty much outlawed the automobile. It was a long time ago, but they purposely made roads to thin for cars, and a few other things I forget, but it was kind of crazy how they did it.
