    I ride for exercise/pleasure, not commuting because when I'm in town that means I'm off work. Calgary's bike path system is pretty awesome.

    What are you riding? Commuter hybrid?

    Nice. I ride to commute to work but also for the small extra exercise it provides over walking. I only live 2 miles from my office but I like to race the cars and try and always beat my previous time haha

    I ride a 2011 Norco Bigfoot, it is a semi dirt jumper and semi hard tail trails bike but for my riding it is fine. I just wish it was lighter (34Lbs) and had more than 18 gears.

    I'm riding a 2012 Opus Scherzo full carbon fiber road bike. Ten speed, weighs in just under 19lbs.

    Went to Michelin racing slicks this summer. So much fun:D

    I've yet to find a good carrying solution that retains my tonneau cover though. I'm afraid to get roof racks in case I get stupid for a moment and forget to take it off before driving into my underground parking haha.

    I had/have the same issues as I also have the fork mount on my bed rails. I picked up a Thule Hitch mount though and it works awesome for what I need. It is so nice having a dry box to put stuff in.

    I don't have a hitch. And really can't be bothered to put one in lol...though it does seem like the best solid solution. I might just get one of those tailgate pads/covers.

    I might be back in town by then. Maybe.

    Well my trip is coming to an end ...came up to Alberta through Waterton Lakes ...Stayed in Canmore 2 nites...drove the Icefields Parkway to Jasper and saw the sites on the way . I talked with Taco owners all along the trip and every one said the like their truck . One guy had 220,000 on a 2006 short bed sport. Saw a lot of wildlife and amazing views of the mountains.1 more day in the Jasper area and a long drive home. You guys sure live in a beautiful area. thanks for all the suggestions ...
