Since I don't have any pictures of new front bumpers to share yet (*sigh*), I thought I'd post up another project I've been working on. Bed Racks! This is made of 1.75" x .095" DOM, weighs just over 80lb. It bolts on to the bed mount locations with plates, and can be made with tube clamps at the bottom of the legs for easy removal. Its low enough that a RTT will barely come above the cab height, but doesn't obstruct the view out the back. Gives great options for mounting fuel cans, jack, shovel, axe, fishing rods, or anything somewhat slim that you want off the floor of the box.

I haven't finalized pricing yet, that will depend a bit on powder coat price. I have all the measurements to do more of these for the 6' box.

Looks damn good. Only thing though, the RTT will sit a good 5-6" or more above the cab at that height.

This is how low mine is and my RTT sits about 1-2" at the front and another solid 4-6" at the middle.

However my rearview mirror is purely for show now and does sweet fuck all. (Not that I need it, we don't have them on the Ambulance either.)

It is similar. A customer contacted me to build him a rack, and said he liked the design of the Yota Fab, but that they were not interested in building him one. I don't intend to step on anyone's toes so if anyone directly affected takes issue with the design similarity I would be prepared to change it up some.

That said, its a cool looking rack, regardless of who built it, no?

I didn't even know yota fab still existed! I've only seen two of those racks ever. Including the one pictured. And unless it's a copyrighted design or something, I don't see an issue. I do like that rack as well. Those bars on the side add loads of strength.

Kinda what I was getting at. It's a bunch of tube to mount stuff on.

I'm also not undercutting another guy to make a sale. I'll be priced similar, as long as its comparing apples with apples.

Yeah, it's a nice design, rigid as hell, and gives great options for mounting stuff on the sides.

Someone earlier mentioned height. That's totally customizable based on the length of the legs. I'll be making them remove able with tube clamps. Pics when they arrive and I put them on the Kernal's rack.

thats going to be awhile still. my single hoop bumper and his tri-hoop are coming at the same time and i was told it will be ready in the new year. im totally fine with that though as i don't have the time to paint it right now anyway.
