Heyyy, looks sharp. I never would have thought about a swing out for some cans or a spare. It'd be super to have a good company up here get some footing in the mod/ armour game. Unfortunately I've already spent the money and got the front and back gear but I noticed someone mentioning the sliders ( not the burgers ). If there is any such chance in the future that someone might be developing a set I think Id be interested.
Will this rear bumper you are manufacturing have the ability to support a winch?

Welcome to TW Jason! Where are you located? (for future reference on pick up ;) ) I'm down for a set of bolt on sliders (if bolt in is possible) but in any case, sliders are in my near future. Your rear bumper looks great, keep up the drool fest

I have a jig for sliders for the DC Long box, and plan to make one for the short box in the very near future. I do my sliders fully bolt on. Sliders can be made to order with the outer tube flat or angled up, and with or without a kick out at the rear. I'll be posting pics of the first set once I install them this weekend.

The rear of the Tacoma would easily support a rear bumper mounted winch. Lots of room under there.

    I'm located in Chilliwack.

    Welcome to TW Jason.

Any more info on the Ironman lift kit? I've seen a thread or two on here recently and I like it. What would be the price for the kit?

I would join you guys, but all stock here except some AT tires so I don't know how far could I go with the truck and no offroading skills...yet.

Thanks for the welcome. Seems like a friendly place. I'm looking forward to putting a few faces to names.

There are a few options for springs (softer or stiffer for extra weight) and shocks, but all the different kits are within $75 of $1,000. All provide about 2" of lift. A local guy to me has the rear leafs in (heavies) and his truck rides great empty or loaded. His new struts and heavy front coils just arrived and will be going in soon, so I'll post up some driving impressions then.

I will be stocking these kits as of December. I'll keep a heavy spring kit in, since even empty they ride well.

Hey Jason, welcome to TW! Always nice to have more locals on the board. Like Foihdzas, I'm in the market for sliders now as well. I'll keep you guys in mind during my search!

I am just wondering how your bumper mounts to the frame. Does it bolt to the hitch assembly as well, or just the stock bumper mounts?
    Untitled.jpg
This is my Road Armour rear bumper with the winch.
I have used the winch a few times, however with the way it is mounted I am a little concerned when I get really stuck. I will be pulling it back off and welding some plate steel to the frame to reinforce it. All in All I am just wondering to what measures did you go with mounting hardware?

Well I just finished talking with Jason about a few things and mounting is one of the topics, well the stock hitch is getting removed to put in the bumper and there are 10 bolt mounting it to the frame, so im geussing yes. How i do not know... yet. Ill let Jason give you a better aswer but its something for now.;)

The bumper bolts to all of the nuts welded to the frame from the factory. There are the three on the side of each frame rail, and the two on the bottom. The bumper has an 'L' shaped bracket that wraps the frame, and the rest of the bumper including the hitch is built off there. This setup would spread any load from towing (or winching) across a big area of both frame rails. Strength will not be an issue.

Here's the latest progress. Welded in the hitch and bracing, finished the corners, and blended some of the edges. Also the recovery points are now 3/4" thick.

Next week comes the swingout, and some 1/4 panel protection.

    Looking good ^^

Funny , the only thing I thought looked odd before was the thin recovery points , did you always intend on making them 3/4" ?
