We really get hosed on synthetics up here. i.e., PartSource/Crappy Tire is $49CAD for 5L QSUD, or 4.4L M1, $56CAD for 4L M1 EP. In the states they that QSUD and M1 for near $20USD!

This thread is _NOT_ for discussing the merits of any particular brand, using Bob Is The Oil Guy for that.

But if anyone comes across a sale on Synthetic at a Canadian Retailer, post the deal here. For those of us who would like to run Synthetic, lets make it as affordable as possible.

Buying Synthetic when it is on sale, rather than the day you are doing your change will save a lot of money.

Things you should mention in your post:
    -City
    -Retailer
    -Regular Price
    -Sale Price
    -Sale Start/End
    -Unit volume (i.e., 4L, 4.4L, 5L, 1L, etc)
    -Brand
-Make (i.e., there is a difference between M1 and M1 EP)
    -Type (i.e., 5-30, 0-30, etc).
    -Limit Per Customer
    -URL

I also think posting sales on Oil Filters, and Air Filters would be ok too. But if people are against that, we'll cut it out.

    I'll start it off here:

    Canadian Tire
    QSUD 5-30,10-30,5-20
    946mL
    Reg $10.79
    Sale $5.39
    link
Doesn't say when sale ends, but I suspect it is this week.
Does not mention a limit on site.

    PartSouce
    QSUD 5-30,10-30,5-20
    5L
    Reg $47.99
    Sale $29.99
    Ends Today (29 Nov 2012)
    Limit 4

If you are wondering, the CT deal is slightly better coming in at $5.7/L, while PS is $6/L. Buying 6 from CT would be better anyway, as the Taco takes 5.5L.

    Canadian Tire
    Castrol EDGE (syntect)
    5L
    $30 (reg $50)

    Castrol EDGE (Titanium)
    5L
    $33 (reg $55)

    Both are all viscosities.

Partsource has M1 Syn for $35 for 4.4L.

I am going to be checking into Petro-Can's bulk prince on Syn, as their oil is a rip-off at retail. I'll report back.

Your onto something here. Its too bad that $50 every other month doesnt really concern me.
    Either way keep it up.
Also I suggest toyota oil filters. I was a fram and knn supporter until I read the oil filter thread. The proof is in the puddin.

Costco in Calgary every 2-3 months has 6x1L Castrol Syntec on sale for like $31-$36. I generally buy 4-6 cases when it does.

The Toyo filters are definitely tough. I tend to go with M1, or Puro as the get better filtration results, and dealership is out of the way. But the bulk deal on toyo filters is great.

Thanks for the tip on Costco. I notice they had Rotella Syn there at a decent price. And I have heard that the Petro Can bulk dealers sell the bulk Duron at a good price. Duron at the gas station is a rip off. I am going to check out the PC next change.
