Just left a post in the noob section as per the prompting. Figured I would say hi to everyone here as well.

Hope to see some of you on the dirt and in the mountains.

Quick question, who would you guys recommend for an alignment job in the Calgary area? Once the dealer finally tracks down my truck I will be installing the lift and whatnot...I was thinking of South Side Frame, but really dont know. Tires are coming from Tire Pirates, I could always see if they do alignments..it would be convenient. Thoughts?

    Enjoy the weather.

I think tire pirates does alignments... Most tire shops do, or sublet the job to someone who does.

Awesome, I'll give them a shot. Just hear horror stories about botched alignments on lifted trucks, you know...don't want to be a statistic! Not that my lift is extreme in any way, shouldn't be hard to get it on spec.

Really depends on the shop. Could also try a dealer

As strange as it may be, I never even considered just having the guys I bought the truck from do the alignment. That would kinda make all sorts of sense. Thanks for reminding me of the obvious!

    Hey Jamie welcome to TW.:wave::canada:

As for dealers, I have never used them myself as I have a friend I trust with my truck but I have heard great things from Charles Glen Toyota. From what I have heard they have some techs who are experienced with doing alignments on lifted trucks. I have heard good things about a few other dealerships as well but a lot more on Charles Glen.

Good luck and curious as to what lift you are getting?

    Banff, thanks for the welcome!

I'm going with the #1 "I don't want to think about it so I'll get something simple" lift. OME with the 886's and Dakars. Once they find me my truck that is (still no luck, probably going to be a special order I'm thinking)

I've had dealings with ARB and OME in the past; very good experiences. So I decided not to reinvent my wheel.

I won't be doing any serious wheeling, just mountain runs and trips to the arctic...overlanding and exploring.

Agree on Charles Glen. I bought my Tacoma there, and they did my alignment after putting in my 5100's. They did a great job.

Knuckles, check out the Calgary Roll Call thread, lots of locals in there!

    Sweet, will do!

    And thanks for the help.

I'm about to start a rant thread regarding my purchase...

That is what I got and you can't go wrong with it. And I agree on dealing with ARB, they have been awesome with me as well.

I don't do any serious wheeling either and it has been perfect for what I use it for. Looking forward to the build.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to the build too...looks like it'll be a bit though, truck is a custom order. No clue how long that normally takes. A month or two?!?
