Especially since he could swap out some ball joints in 20 mins and only pay cost for the parts. haha

When you work on cars for a living you don't want to do it when you get home! Hahah although he's teaching now, so it's not as bad when I'm like "sooooo this happened what can I do to fix it"

My AC and dial that changes where the air is coming out of stopped lighting up yesterday. I imagine it's just a back light. I hope it's not some wiring or something.. that'll be a bitch

Alright, back on topic of the OP, is there a plan to meet sometime this summer? I'd love to put my truck through some mud or through some trails. I've never been anywhere to do this sort of thing so it'd be fun to see what I can do with my truck. I dont know where there are trails or a good spot to get stuck. Would like to meet other Taco owners from the area.

I'm down to meet whenever! I know of a couple trails, I'll talk to a few of my Jeep buddies and see where they go!

The last trail me and Snowman went down was pretty tight and I was kinda uneasy about taking my '09 down there so I don't imagine you'd be keen on taking your '13 down it! However, I did really like the trail. Especially since we know it leads somewhere!

I'll see if I can find something a little more open trail.

Let me know when your BJ's arrive and you get them in! We'll head out!

I'm from the Halifax area, but I'm most a lurker. I've a black 2000 taco that is my pride and joy, had it since 2007 or so. If you ever see one with California front plates, that'd be me!

Maybe.. you could try NSCC! Haha if you don't mind students doing it. I'm not sure if they work on random people's cars but it would be cheap! I'll ask dad if they do that and let you know!

I was just talking to Shawn at Scoita Tire on Cole Harbor road and he said he thinks he could do it! He said "I think I can handle it, I've lined up some pretty fucked up shit"

So you could talk to him!

Why would new ball joints throw off your alignment?

Anytime you do anything with the front end they recommend an alignment! Doesn't take much to throw it off.

Not really. If you had an alignment with good ball joints then they went bad after a few months, the new ball joints would put everything exactly as it was with the old ones. If you change a tie rod end or lifted/lowered then yeah. But no need with ball joints unless your last alignment was perfomed on worn out ones.

Sounds like stealership propaganda to get an alignment ;)

Could be! I would if I noticed a pull or any feathering going on! I can't just pull my car into the shop and get one of my buddies to do it now, I actually have to pay for that stuff now, sucks.

I got some new shoes for the Taco!! Something with a little more tread ;)

How much would he want? It's just the camber that needs adjusting.
